Appropriate for: Graduates from Masters in Counseling or Comparable Program
Scheduling: Full-time. Residents in Counseling are required to commit at least four days per week, and should expect to work on site 20 to 30 hours weekly; some hours will be required to be scheduled in the evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs. All Residents in Counseling must be available for a group supervision meeting once a week and individual supervision hours will be scheduled at least weekly, depending on caseload.There is some flexibility in scheduling.
Required level of readiness: Resident in Counseling will need to have completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling or comparable study, and completed at least one year of practicum or field placement; priority given to those with therapy experience. Supervision is tailored to the individual level of experience of the clinician.
Compensation for Resident in Counseling: Resident in Counseling will receive a 50/50 split of all revenues collected for services provided. They will be provided office supplies, therapy materials, office furniture, administrative staff support, supervision, email/phone, and office space. Benefits, including health insurance, are offered to full time employees. Estimated annual salary is between $80,000-$88,000 depending on caseload and session length.
Description of Resident in Counseling Position
Resident in Counseling will provide 20+ direct client hours per week in individual, family and/or group therapy. Client population may include work with children, adolescents, and/or adults; priority given to applicants with background or interest in developmental trauma and relational therapy approaches. Resident in Counseling is required to commit at least four days per week; includes two evenings per week or one evening and Saturday hours to accommodate client needs, with flexibility in scheduling beyond these requirements. Supervisee must be available for an individual and group supervision meeting at least once a week, participate in bi-monthly staff meetings, and practice professional development opportunities, as offered.
