Juliana “Julie” Stokx, MA
ABOUT JULIANA STOKX
Many of us experience challenges, traumatic events, relationship difficulties, or overwhelming emotions that can feel scary to address or discuss in therapy. My goal is to create an environment that feels safe and comfortable where you can be your most authentic self in the therapy room.
My hope is to help you feel supported and validated when sharing difficult experiences, emotions, and thoughts and doing so at your own pace.
The weight of the world can feel overwhelming and so heavy on your shoulders. Whether you are navigating anxious or depressive feelings, trauma, identity challenges, life transitions, or just wanting to learn and understand yourself better, I am here to help. I work with children, teens, and adults who are struggling to navigate life’s challenges and want to gain the strength and confidence to keep moving forward.
In therapy, I show up as compassionate, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and kind. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I draw from psychodynamic theory and evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, attachment-based principles, and other effective therapeutic approaches to help clients better understand themselves, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. Together, we work to understand the origins of your thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and relational experiences, identify patterns, and see how these patterns influence day-to-day functioning. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest about what you’re experiencing, without fear of judgment. When working specifically with children, I enjoy integrating play and talk therapy into my sessions. By incorporating child-friendly techniques, I help children navigate a variety of emotional, behavioral and social challenges while building practical strategies and skills that support resilience, confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
Additionally, I enjoy providing comprehensive assessment services for individuals of all ages, helping clients gain a better understanding of themselves and their experiences while identifying strengths, areas of concern, and recommendations for treatment and practical strategies to support their goals.
